South Korea successfully launched indigenous space rocket 'Nuri' for the first time

India's new communication satellite GSAT-24 successfully launched
- On 23 June 2022, the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) successfully launched the communication satellite GSAT-24 for its commercial arm New Space India Limited (NSIL) from Kourou, French Guiana (South America).

- NewSpace India Limited (NSIL) was formed in March 2019. It is a Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) under the Department of Space, Government of India and the commercial arm of ISRO.
- Under the 'Space Reforms' announced by the government in June 2020, NSIL was given the responsibility of launching satellite missions on a demand-based model. NSIL has the vital responsibility of building, launching, owning and operating satellites and providing services to its customers.
Indira Gandhi International Airport becomes the first airport to run on renewable energy
- Indira Gandhi International Airport has become the first airport in the country to meet renewable energy requirements. From June 1, hydro-solar energy is being used here.
- This is a big step toward achieving the goal of zero carbon emissions at the airport by 2030. Six percent of the airport's electricity comes from solar panels mounted on the airside and rooftops of cargo terminals. At the same time, the remaining 94 percent of electricity is being received from hydro energy.
